West Coast Amateur Football Club

Based at the picturesque City Beach Oval, a torpedo punt from Perth's best beaches, West Coast AFC is one of the most successful clubs in the PFL competition.

With modern clubrooms, excellent facilities, match standard floodlights across two ovals, a positive club culture and a youthful, dynamic committee, our club prides itself on being a recipe for ongoing success.

NAIDOC WEEK

In partnership with Wirrpanda Foundation, our club celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in NAIDOC Week, and proudly recognises the important role Indigenous Australians play in our society and the game of Australian Rules Football.

In our annual NAIDOC Week game, players wear jumpers specially designed by Indigenous leaders within our playing group.

AUSKICK GALA DAY

In partnership with West Coast Junior Club, each year we support the Claremont District's massive Auskick Gala Day, with up to 2000 youngsters enjoying a great day of footy on City Beach Oval.

Our Programs

West Coast AFC supports participation for male and female footballers of all ages and abilities, as well as maintaining a positive club culture and community engagement.

We run teams through League, Reserves, Thirds, Fourths, Colts and Women’s.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

All players take part in volunteering activities outside of football, such as the City To Surf  which the club has supported for more than a decade with our major partners, Activ Foundation.

The club prides itself on strong values, nurturing leadership skills in the next generation and helping to develop our members into well-rounded young men and women and valued members of the community.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT

The development of our young players is crucial to the club's future. West Coast AFC invests heavily in our coaching staff and provide a structured "development pathway" for our players.

We maintain strong relationships with local junior clubs. Young Tigers players are encouraged to coach Junior teams, extending the player development pathway from Auskick to WAFL level.

FEMALE FOOTBALL

West Coast AFC is committed to providing women of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy our great game in a welcoming club environment.

With the success of our first women’s team in 2018, and the popularity of the sport increasing that to two women's teams in 2019, we are excited to see what the future of women's football within the club has in store.
